Maeve's is a charming neighborhood coffee shop within walking distance of the apartment. Serving small bites for breakfast and lunch, they are homey, comfortable, and have a great, relaxed atmosphere to sit and do work.

My favorite place to go for Robata, really cool ambiance, really lovely waitstaff, very close. Great late night option, as they usually serve food until midnight-1am.

Delicious, thoughtful, and seasonal small plates abound, daily specials, house-made sausage, brunch options on the weekends, and specialty craft beer, wine, and spirit flights all available until the wee hours.

My favorite neighborhood restaurant, and some of the best Thai food in the metro area. Reasonably priced, organic, humble, delicious, fresh food, lovely waitstaff. The khao soi will blow your mind. Seriously.

A speakeasy-feeling experience, it is full of old-school class and often has live DJ's spinning, while the world-class bartenders/mixologists whip up some of the most inventive, delicious drinks I have personally experienced with their own house-made spirits and mixes.

Boom Island park stretches out along the NE banks of the Mississippi river, giving stunning views of the downtown skylines, as well as of Nicollet Island. Follow the walking paths across a small footbridge to connect to Nicollet Island's walking paths.
