One of the oldest and best patisserie in Athens. It is a bit far away, but it is easily accessible by train, as it is next to the Agios Nikolaos train station (L1). Please don't leave Athens without taste the worldwide famous galaktoboureko of kosmikon. It is the adequate method to destroy your diet and to sink yourself in the world of the absolute sweetness. The neigbourhood is a bit old and ugly and you can not sit in the place. Take it and eat it at home accompanying it with coffee.

Filopappou Hill is just opposite my apartment and is one of the most important green and historical places in the centre of Athens. You should "climb" to the top and look at the city of Athens that unfolds down hill and the monument placed on the top of the hill. Moreover, in Filopappou you will find the cave-prison that the well known ancient philosopher Socrates was once been imprisoned.

It is a place to get lost in its narrow streets and start travelling in time, from the ancient Greece, to Roman empire and to the dawn of the new Greek state in the begining of the last century. Don't miss the opportunity to climb to anafiotika and admire the view. Downhill you can always take a coffee or drink in one of the many bars that have their own character.
