Sandviken is a perfect neighbourhood to stroll through. It has a lot of the original wooden houses , the narrow streets and character that makes Bergen such a nice place. There are also a nice little bars /cafes which you normally don't find outside the city center. Sandviken is quite big (Ytre Sanviken can take 45 minutes to walk to), but it already starts if you walk from Fløibanen in the city center through Øvregaten.

Nordnesparken is a nice park where you can sit either on the sun or be protected by the trees. It is a great spot for a sunny day, and it is possible to swim here to. The walk to Nordnes is also really nice. When walking to it, try and walk the small and narrow streets where you will get a real good impression of some of the characteristic houses of Bergen.
