My personal watering hole, this place is my favorite during the day. Great selection of beer, perfect place to watch any game, and the staff is awesome. Their flatbreads are also addicting.

If you want to do a little wine tasting, but don't feel like making the drive to Temecula, this is a great compromise. The staff is great, the wines are delicious, and the pours are generous.

As far as breweries go, this is an absolute favorite of mine. The modern design of the brewery itself is really cool and their beers are very unique.

The restaurant here is excellent, but the upstairs bar is also really fun. Creative takes on traditional cocktails, and the bar is on the roof, so there's no ceiling because you're in San Diego.

This is a really fun bar if you're looking for a drink with a view, it's more of the nightlife scene during the weekends, but the bar overlooks the baseball stadium and downtown.

Ballast Point is a staple as far as San Diego craft beers go. I love visiting earlier in the day on a weekend. The food is also good and the rest of the neighborhood is worth exploring.

This gastropub style restaurant is really fun, it has a great beach-y vibe and a wonderful selection of locally brewed beers on tap. The mac and cheese is so good that it should be illegal.

My favorite Italian restaurant. All of their pastas are hand made in-house and they are unreal. I'd definitely recommend the gnocchi and lamb bolognese.

Mexican food on the beach, that's what Las Olas is all about. Quite possibly the best and biggest quesadilla you'll ever have and really good fish tacos. This spot is as laid back as they come.

Another great La Jolla restaurant with a great bar, Whisknladle is a bit more upscale for dinner, but they also serve brunch on the weekends. Farm-to-table food and a great atmosphere.
