They have bus tours during the summer if you are interested in local history.

Mickelson Trail starts in Deadwood, SD and runs all the way to Edgemont, SD (103 miles). It covers some amazingly beautiful earth. It is great for a leisurely stroll or an adventure-in-biking a great trail (it can be done top to bottom in three days-two if you are that awesome).
