Shops, cafes, and restaurants are slightly sophisticated compared to other areas in Tokyo. I teach at one of yoga studios in this area weekly and enjoy this town very much.

Even though it's a chain you wont get disappointed because the price is reasonable and quality of food is good. When we locals cannot be bothered to think where to go and eat, we usually go to these chain Izakaya like UOTAMI, WATAMI, SHIRAKIYA, etc. Enjoy our average dining-out experience in Japan!

Cafe de TETE - SWAN LAKE craft beer- Japan makes some great craft beers! SWAN LAKE is one of the craft beer brands from Niigata. TETE always has draft Swan Lake as well as other brands on tap including some seasonal beers. Foods are good too (though a little pricey I feel). I go to TETE whenever I want some rich beer. My favorite is Amber Ale and Porter. If you like dark beer, try their stout.
