The entire Biltmore Estate is a must see! Largest private home in the US. The gardens are amazing and the winery has a great tour. Enjoy the petting zoo near the winery.

Iconic hotel on the List of Historic Places where all the US Presidents have stayed while visiting Asheville. A favorite of visitors and locals alike. Great place to have a drink and watch the sunset from the Sunset Terrace. Grand fireplaces with rocking chairs nearby make for a warm spot to have a hot chocolate on cold days. Several restaurants there to choose from. May have to pay to park but worth it.

Best scenic drive with amazing overlooks along the way. In summer escape the heat and drive north to Mount Mitchell where it can be 30 degrees cooler. The Folk Arts Center is a great stop on this journey. There are trails along the way as well.
