Nice spot to wild swim in the river, there is a jetty near the road bridge and another near the footbridge in the recreation ground with bbq area and park.

River, stream, pond, meadow, woods, rare plants and wildfowl, refreshments. Entry fee. 2 minute drive from the bell tent!

River, stream, pond, meadow, woods, rare plants and wildfowl, refreshments. Entry fee. 2 minute drive from the bell tent!
Great place to walk and paddling is possible at the Croft area - you will see it across the meadows by a weir and footbridge, there maybe dog walkers and cattle there...

Great beach, especially if you park at the Naze Tower, then go to the beaches to the left to search for sharks teeth and fossils. Keep walking for a more secluded spot and good views across the water. You can walk through the nature reserve above the cliff too. Or from the Naze Tower go to the beaches to the right to swim. The pier and town has all the usual if you want that too. Look up tides first!
