You'll definitely want to try this place. You'll feel healthier just walking in the joint. They cater to vegetarian and vegans, but the food is amazing, and they also have live music.

Another restaurant that is off the beaten path, and a little further from the condo. However, they have the best selection of wines and my favorite place to dine Italiano. Hard to find even for locals

If you need solid mexican meal, this place is pretty convenient. It's another hole in the wall you wouldn't find, but tasty and reasonably priced.

Urban and trendy - I go for the martinis and my favorite Hawaiian dish of Poke. It is extraordinary for the price. There are many places downtown. I recommend this one for a reason.

If you are hard core and you want cheap army gear, forget REI. You might have to dig through piles of surplus to find what you need, but in a pinch, you'll find what you need to survive here.
