Sightseeing

It is THE trail to take (4x4 only). It will take all day and takes you over American Basin, Cinnamon Pass, Animas Forks, and Engineers Pass. Some of the prettiest scenery in the country!

Parks & Nature

It's an alpine lake 15 minutes from town and is the second largest natural lake in Colorado. It's absolutely gorgeous with the mountains in the background and has tons of trout if you enjoy fishing, or you can drive a loop around the lake. The Slumgullion Slide which created it 800+ years ago is still slowly moving into it still and is very cool to see.
