State Highway 29
This is the main road over the Kaimai Range between the Bay of Plenty and Waikato. Weather patterns impact traffic flow over the range as do long weekends with many tourists or Bach owners at Mount Maunganui.

State Highway 29 is a really busy main road so be patient and alert at the intersection of Solders Rd and SH29. There are some well documented pot holes as well while the NZTA get it sorted. Also be aware of the various toll roads around Tauranga.
