Our favorite breakfast or lunch spot! Right in downtown across from the courthouse. They have great coffee, smoothies, pastries, breakfast and lunch sandwiches. On Saturday mornings they usually have amazing French toast!

Less than a mile from the house, this is a great little family owned place with fresh produce, local honey, candy, jams, etc. As well as a wide variety of flowers in the summer and pumpkins in the fall!!

This is a great little park only 5 minutes away, especially if you have kids but great for all ages! Walking trail, covered pavilion, bathrooms, huge playground, splash pad, pickle ball, basketball, and bocce ball.

Neat historical site on the Blue Ridge Parkway, 15 minutes from the house. You can join on the Mountains to Sea trail here as well as numerous other places through this stretch of the parkway.

One of NC’s best state parks is just 20 minutes away! Stone Mountain is beautiful and a truly unique experience. In addition to the massive stone summit area there are several waterfalls and homesteads that are a short hike from the parking area.
