Thursday pm farmer's market-summer-only a few houses down
Lots of local museums at the CT Science Center and the Wadsworth Antheneum. Fabulous concerts and plays at The Bushnell, The Hartford Stage, TheatreWorks, the Xfinity Center, and the XL Center. Great movie theater at Front Street, where you can bring food and wine/beer into the theater with you. Lots of hiking (Hublein Tower and Penbrook on Avon Mountain to name a couple), and the Cove has a trail that takes you out to the river.
