I would recommend to hire the 'Santander' bikes and ride along this canal to Camden. Choose early hours to avoid pedestrian traffic
You could also walk the length of the canal.
Either walk along Lisson Grove until you find a place to enter the canal path
Or
Walk to Regent's park, you can access the canal at the north side of the park
