Parks & Nature

If you have any extra time you should at least take a drive up Spearfish Canyon. It is only about 15 minutes from Falsebottom Hide-away. Spearfish Canyon has steep canyon walls with a year round creek running through, three waterfalls, many hikes, and a picnic area. If you have time, get out on one of the many hikes in the area. There are two popular trails which start at Savory. The first is the Roughlock Falls Trail that follows a stream for about a mile from Savoy to Roughlock Falls. It is an easy grade with a gravel surface. Another favorite trail is the Spearfish Falls Loop Trail which starts right at the restaurant and goes down a fairly steep grade to a waterfall.
