Late Spring, Summer and Early Fall ~ this is a casual, friendly place - literally on the beach - on Friday and Saturday nights there is usually a respectable cover band - the food is basic and passible - and the scene can not be beat. Great place to have dinner, and enjoy a walk before or afterwards on the beach.

Plan on spending an hour or two walking along the river... There is a 1.25 mild path that has been constructed and it is free and open to the public. The path runs from Lake Street to the lake front and has multiple access points that provide access to the upper streets like Wacker Drive and Michigan Avenue.

One of the great avenues in the world - in the heart of Chicago. Endless shopping, great international cuisine, lively entertainment. Someone could easily spend 3 hours or more taking in the sites and sounds of downtown Chicago. Just go to North Michigan Avenue starting at the River ~ and head south. There is so much to see and do - too much to do it justice in this little blurb. Worth the walk and time....

Built in 1914 - one of the old style baseball fields... around the field ... a whole entertainment complex has been built up - and between bars, and patios and open squares - there is lots to see and do. On game days - it is worth seeing if you can obtain low cost bleacher seats - and see America's pastime played the same way it was played 100 years ago.

This is one of the great FREE venues in Chicago. Children and adults love this place - open, interesting, lots to do and see - and it doesn't cost a dime.
