I must honestly say that I still haven't unfortunately visited this one, but it has excellent reviews, I heard a lot of talk about it and I seriously assume it is great! Can't wait to finally go.

Takenoko is already an institution in Zagreb. Excellent sushi and all Japanese dishes. I haven't visited it recently but I know they have a strong standard. Could be a little expensive though but if you can afford it, it's worth it.

This is a beautiful Fortress on Sljeme and a nice (but much shorter walk). The view is incredible!

This is called the Main square for a reason - it's an intersection of almost every tram in the city, commuters, walkers, people going to and from Dolac market, it's vibrant, it's crowded and it's a great people watching spot - virtually from all walks of life. It has "Mandusevac" fontaine in the middle with the legend of how Zagreb was founded. It is a great starting point to start exploring the city in all directions from there, main sights are visible or nearby and its great for overall orientation. Our apartment is just around the corner.
