Sightseeing
Sometimes you need to burn that energy especially if you're travelling with children. 30 minutes away is quad biking, swimming, etc at Chaka ranch.

You're actually staying on Lusoi farm. A working farm where we grow our vegetables and keep farm animals. You can definitely walk around on your own. Depending on the season they may be a lot or little going on in the ground. But do book a tour with one of our staff members especially the young high schoolers. We want them to build their confidence and show off the work they're doing on the farm.

Verkehrsmittel
A car, bicycles, rollerblades
A car, bicycles, rollerblades are the best way to explore around the farm and from city to city. The road to Munyu is usually very quiet and deserted, which makes for good biking trails and skating. If you're lucky the mountain may show herself as you ride towards Munyu or the forest. To move from the farm to the towns I recommend you drive.

Sunrise and Sunset
The sun rises over Mt. Kenya and if you're an early riser you can catch this by the upper farm house. If you're not early rise then you can catch the sunset by the dam with some sundowner cocktails as the sun drops over the Aberdares.

Comfortable shoes, warm layers,
The temperature drops are pretty severe on this side of the mountain especially early morning and late evening. Bring some warm layers to cover up.
We generally, don't see mosquitoes in these parts.
Most of the farm pathways and roads are murram please bring comfortable shoes and maybe even Wellies to wade in the river especially for the kids and to enable you to explore the farm comfortably.
