The people are friendly and the local deer population are amazing to watch and interact with.

Be friendly to the deer
Be cautious when driving around Lakehills and the Pebble Beach community as there are lots of deer and fawns who also live in the area. If you approach slowly and calmly the deer will actually come up to you. Especially if you're offering food. It's actually quite amazing!
