For TYPICAL PORTUGUESE FOOD, I highly recommend this restaurant, very popular among the locals. Its specialty is the "pernil" (gammon) and for dessert they have a tasty "rabanada" (French toast).

The main theatre in the city and one of the most important in the country. You can visit São João National Theatre to see a play or in guided tours. The main façade is beautiful, but what I like most about this theatre, I must say, is its classic and elegant inner spaces. Very worthy!
