The Harriet Irving Botanical Gardens are a short walk across the campus of Acadia University. You can enjoy the formal gardens within the gated confines or head out the gate up the hill into a wooded trail through ravines and over brooks. Stay to the right and the trail wends back to the formal gardens. Good signage; hard to get lost.

"The ravioli is to die for", told to me by a local antique dealer. She was right. Very unassuming with a casual atmosphere, the food is the focus. Good selection of local wines.

Farm fresh groceries and lots of tasty treats. It's a two minute drive from our place. Meats, cheeses, apples, berries, are their specialities.
