Nature lover? Then you mustn't miss the Biosfärreservat Schaalsee. It's the perfect place to watch wildlife and take your dogs for a walk. Afterwards there's a lovely little cafe where you can enjoy traditional German pastries and cakes.

Wittenburg is only about 10 minutes by car or 20 by bike. In the town square there is an excellent bakery and close by a lovely little bookshop. The city is old, but there is unfortunately not very much by the way of sightseeing. However, you will find all major supermarkets in the same area (Rewe, Lidl, Netto, Aldi etc) including a garden shop and local fishmonger, just before the highway. This is where we go to do our grocery shopping. Please note that everything is closed on Sundays.

Get around by bike or car
There is a weekday bus from Luckwitz to Wittenburg. However, it only comes around a couple of times per day. The easiest way to get around is by car or to borrow our bikes, which are available free of charge to our guests. Wittenburg is about 10 minutes by car and 20 by bike. There are separate lanes for bikes alongside most of the roads, since biking here is quite popular!
