Sightseeing and exploring Aegina island
This is a little island just off of aegina. You can only get to Moni island by water taxi, either from aegina town or from Perdika fishing village (my choice) No cars on the island. Only people, animals, sea and food. You will find a small little restaurant that serves light snacks, drinks and paid sun umbrellas. Take a walk through the forest and find lovely coves that offer some privacy from the main section. Take some fruit to feed the animals. If you would like to go to Moni island from Perdika fishing village you can take the bus from aegina town which goes direct to the fishing village then take the small boats (wich are situated in the middle of the small harbor under a canopy with some benches ) across to the island.. I would say the cost is approximately €10 per person return. You pay the full return cost before you depart ( but this amount is not guaranteed and could change) and when you finish from the island and want to get back to Perdika or Aegina town, you just get onto the respective boat which will take you back.

Their is a small small museum (paid entrance) that has some beautiful historical facts and things of interest. Opposite you will find a lovely coffee shop and seating with the most scenic view on Aegina island while sipping your drink of choice (mind this can be very busy in the summer months) Buses travel a few times a day to Agia Marina town and stop at the temple where you can get off and explore. The buses depart from the bus station just opposite the port in Town (where you can buy bus tickets and view the bus times. You also have the option to drive to the temple if you have a car. Only a small section exists for parking cars (mind you don’t get trapped in by all the tourist busses)

The best place for sundowner dinner (seafoods) and drinks. Most of the restaurants sell the best seafood on the island all mostly caught by the local fishermen. Beautiful fishing village only 20 minutes from Aegina town by either car, taxi, bus or bike. This must not be missed if you can help it. What a nice vibe.. highly recommend.

This is one of the places that I frequently visit. The food is good, but a little pricy. The tables are on the beach and the view beautiful (especially if you catch a sunset) which makes for great photos. The vibe is relaxed with the tables and chairs on the sand.

Babis Aegina Restaurant
Ακτή Τότη ΧατζήThis is one of the places that I frequently visit. The food is good, but a little pricy. The tables are on the beach and the view beautiful (especially if you catch a sunset) which makes for great photos. The vibe is relaxed with the tables and chairs on the sand.
If anybody asks me where they can go for sundowner drinks and perfect sunsets, this would be it. Chilled vibe, good music, great location, fantastic views and some great cocktails 🍹🍸. Great place for a light lunch of salads if you need too.. talk about sunsets and possibly make new friends at this amazing hangout 👍

Great place for a light lunch of salads if you need too.. talk about sunsets and possibly make new friends at this amazing hangout 👍
Food scene
Perdika in my opinion is one of the best places to have a good seafood meal in all of Aegina island. You should not (if possible) miss coming to this town. 10 is a restaurant that I go to often when I visit Perdika as I look forward to that beautiful sweet port and fruit they give you at the end of your meal. You would need transport to get to this town, but we’ll worth it.

You should not (if possible) miss coming to this town. 10 is a restaurant that I go to often when I visit Perdika as I look forward to that beautiful sweet port and fruit they give you at the end of your meal. You would need transport to get to this town, but we’ll worth it.
