If you fancy moderate hiking and wish to see breathtaking Edinburgh cityscape, why not hike up to Arthur's seat. This hill is not too far from the Scottish Parliament and Holyrood palace. Expect strong winds at the summit but it is worth it.

Situated high on a rock in the heart of Edinburgh, this iconic castle offers absolute charm to the old town area! Make sure you walk by the Princes Garden for excellent views of the castle. If you don't want to buy ticket to visit, just go to the esplanade (castle front) for views across Arthur's seat and then take a walk all the way to Scottish Parliament along the Royal Mile (some say prettiest walk in Europe).
