The positives of living so close to the island core, is that you can go anywhere you wish just by walking ! If you wish to go for an experience outside of kos, just grab the bus from KTEL, and stop at your desired destination !

Tipping culture in Kos.
Tips are not required in Kos, but greatly appreciated. There is no standard fare or percentage in tipping, so don't worry about leaving a great amount of money in tips. Most of the time, a smile and a small amount of coins is more than enough. Act as you wish, and dont worry about being mistreated for not leaving tips.

The weather is hot, and you will mostly spend your days exploring the island, or relaxing at an organised beach bar. Swimsuits, and summer clothing are essentials ! Remember to bring with you a light jacket or hoodie, for the humidity at night, just so you are prepared for every occasion !
