Such a lovely, tranquil area to hike and enjoy wildlife. 25 or so minutes from our home, too!

Located right on stunning Lake Coeur d'Alene, this is where I spent my childhood. So much to explore, this is a great place to jump in the lake, sunbath on the little beaches all around the hill, or enjoy the great hiking trails and views.

Steam plant with tall stacks has been converted into a shopping area and restaurant. The stacks light up at night and can be seen from different vantage points around the city. The colors are changed from time to time to reflect holidays or commemorations.

Greenbluff is the place for idyllic drives through farm country and rolling hills where the farmers open their doors to let you buy home-grown fruits, vegtables, flowers, honey... And they will very often have a festival going on to celebrate the bounty of this area! Every time we have driven out it has turned out to be the best day!!!

Greenbluff is the place for idyllic drives through farm country and rolling hills where the farmers open their doors to let you buy home-grown fruits, vegtables, flowers, honey... And they will very often have a festival going on to celebrate the bounty of this area! Every time we have driven out it has turned out to be the best day!!!
The world's longest floating boardwalk on what is possible the world's most beautiful lake! It surrounds the Coeur d'Alene Resort, and is free to walk on/around, sit for a chat, and enjoy the views. During the summer the Resort hosts a boat show around the boardwalk which is amazing and jaw dropping! This is worth doing no matter the season. The lake cruises also depart from the boardwalk or a dock a few steps down the beach. Worth the trip.

It surrounds the Coeur d'Alene Resort, and is free to walk on/around, sit for a chat, and enjoy the views. During the summer the Resort hosts a boat show around the boardwalk which is amazing and jaw dropping! This is worth doing no matter the season. The lake cruises also depart from the boardwalk or a dock a few steps down the beach. Worth the trip.
