Popular park, 10 minutes walk from my apartment. Usually there’s a market here on Sundays. Cosy cafes, bars, restaurants and shops in the area.

From Birkelunden, continue down to the area around Olaf Ryes plass and Markveien. Lots of nice vintage shops, cafes and restaurants.
One of my favorite second hand shops with reasonable prices is UFF Second Hand Løkka.

At the bottom of Grünerløkka. Here you find some nice restaurants like the basque tapas restaurant Txotx and the Italian Trattoria Popolare. Especially nice in the summertime when you can sit outside.

Walk along the Akerselva river for some nice views and a nature experience. The riverwalk is eight kilometres long in total, but you can start close to my apartment, around the Hønse-Lovisas house (cafe and museum in beautiful surroundings) and walk down towards the city center. Suggested stops on the way: Mathallen food court and Blå (bar/cafe/cultural venue). Watch out for slippery slopes in the wintertime, best during spring/summer/fall.
