New owners took over Nov 21 and this is now a great local pub. Excellent selection of beer and wine, good pub food, big outdoor beer garden - adds a good 'local' that was missing in Kynton.

In the hot summer months, this local swimming hole is extremely refreshing! It is about a 20 min drive from the house (on some unsealed roads). It can get busy over xmas but still a fun place to visit and swim.

A beautiful garden with $10 ticketed entry that's open every day (except xmas). Beautiful to wander around, particularly in Spring or Autumn. About a 20-25 min drive from Harper's Cottage.

Walks
I walk here all the time as I'm lucky enough to have it right at the end of the street of Harper's Cottage! There's a great walk over the crest of the res (cross over the concrete spillway to reach) plus a big field you can meander through. Or you can use the next gate and walk into town under the gorgeous rail bridge.

Our market is held on the 3rd Sunday of the month. It is either on the Village Green on the Cricket Ground (varies based on state of the ground - signs in town will make it clear).
