This Italian Cafe does some of my favourite focaccias. They also do a great coffee, amazing gelato and a really nice cooked breakfast.

Last but certainly not least, is The Brunch Club, this small UK chain, does some unusual but wonderful dishes. Opposite Kelvingrove, this is a great place to grab a bite to eat, especially if the sun is out!

The trick to this Italian is to oder the small plates, Italian tapas! You don't have to chose one dish and regret your decision, pick a few and share them with the table!

This is a unique fusion of India meets Scotland. It sounds completely bizarre but the flavours are out of this world. I really recommend any of the curried fish dishes.

We stumbled upon this Thai restaurant one night, and it was incredible, it's easily become a family favourite. The building is incredible and the food is out of this world.

This is a great tapas restaurant, with amazing sangria. It's on the top floor of Princess Square shopping centre. I've only ever been during the day, so I can highly recommend it as a great lunch stop.

When I was a kid, this was easily my favourite place in the city. I have been countless times. They have multiple floors, full of interactive science experiments. This is a great place to learn and be amazed by the wonders of the world. They even have their own planetarium!

he house is in a great location for a day of shopping. Buchanan Street is Glasgow's main street for shopping. You can expect to find all of your favoutie high street shops here. There's also many Scottish gift shops where you can buy everything from tablet to your own personal kilt! As you walk down Buchanan Street, you'll see Buchanan Galleries on your left, this is full of more shops and cafes. As you continue to walk down, you'll see a nice door, this leads into Princess Square. This is a beautiful building, and if you're there at Christmas, then it's worth seeing all the lights. As you head towards Marchant City, you'll find more of your designer shops and brands. If you prefer to go thrifting or to smaller independent shops, then heading to the West End is your best bet, Byres Road is a good place to start. My number one tip for visiting Glasgow is to look up. The city is full of incredible architecture.

City/town information

This maisonette is very central but sits back by one quiet road from Sauchiehall Street. This grants you brilliant access to all city attractions, but in a slightly quieter, predominantly residential area. Giving you the best of both worlds, the opportunity to explore and venture out with ease, but also giving you a quiet home to enjoy a restful night’s sleep in. Glasgow has so much to offer, incredible restaurants, bars, shopping, museums all which can be accessed with just a short walk from the house. You can explore the delights of Merchant city or some brilliant shopping in Buchanan Street within a 5-minute walk from the house.
