And extreme heat isn’t an issue either. The city of Irvine’s average annual high temperature is 73 degrees, and its average low is a comfortable 52 degrees—perfect for making the most of Irvine’s many outdoor amenities! And despite its coastal location, the weather in Irvine isn’t overly humid and maintains a consistently low dew point throughout the year.

The Sunday farmer’s market is a must

Sundays at Great Park are headlined by fresh produce and fun at our Certified Farmers Market. Every week, the Great Park Certified Farmers Market features fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables for sale. Take home fresh produce grown on the Great Park Farm and other local farms. Explore the Farm + Food Lab and get home gardening tips from master gardeners from the University of California, Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources. It is open every Sunday, 10 a.m.–2 p.m., weather permitting. Parking and admission are free. The Farmers Market is located in Lot No. 2.

The City of Irvine is served by multiple modes of transportation including bus, light rail, train, biking and walking. For starters, getting in and out is a breeze with one of the most flier-friendly airports in the country: John Wayne Airport (SNA). Less than an hour from Los Angeles, the clean, uncrowded Irvine airport offers a great alternative to LAX. If you'll have a rental car, you'll also be pleased to know that the no-stress experience of the Irvine airport continues on the city's roads. Because Irvine is master-planned, you'll never experience snarled traffic or rush hour delay.
