The colony was built by German members of the Templar sect in 1868 before the German state was established and hence its name. Today you will not find Germans in it, but you will find a variety of restaurants, hookah houses and stunning views of the temple and the Baha'i Gardens. The colony is one street that stretches from Haifa Bay and climbs a small part of the mountain. The colony is a pleasant and atmospheric walk for good weather. At Christmas the street gets a special holiday atmosphere

The Baha'i Gardens were built to provide appropriate access and a framework to the temples in which the founders of the Baha'i religion lie. The gardens are designed to create a quiet and relaxed atmosphere that allows all visitors to enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the holy sites. The gardens are open to the public at no cost - everyone is welcome. Every day there is a free guided tour Recommendations and reminders The Baha'i Gardens are religious sites open to the general public at no cost. As is customary at sites of this type, visitors are asked to dress in modest attire that covers the shoulders and reaches to the knees and without tears. Photography is allowed, except inside the temples. Visitors are welcome to bring a bottle of water, however drinking other beverages, eating, chewing gum and smoking are prohibited inside the gardens https://www.ganbahai.org.il/

The lower city and the Turkish market of Haifa are the busiest places at night. Lots of restaurants and cafes which are located next to the port of Haifa. The lower city beautifully presents the fabric of life shared by Arabs and Jews. In the adjacent Turkish market (1 minute walk) you will find beautiful buildings and restaurants scattered in its alleys
