Food scene

On the corner of Burnside and Kloof Nek Rd, there is a larger convenience store, a bottle store, as well as a great bar (Power & Glory) and a couple of excellent restaurants. This is one of the hippest corners in Cape Town, just a short walk away from the apartment! A little further down you will find Kloof St, with loads of bars, restaurants and shops.

Camps Bay and Glen Beach are a 5-minute drive/Uber ride from the apartment. If you want to eat in Camps Bay, The Codfather does excellent sushi and seafood. Tigers Milk is another good destination on the Camps Bay strip.

Sightseeing

Clifton 4th beach is a personal favourite, but any of the Clifton beaches are amazing and are often protected from the legendary South East wind. Llandudno is a little further away (15 minutes), but is a beautiful beach and often has good surf.

Lions Head is a short drive away which is a good climb. The trip to the top is worth it for the spectacular views. Pipetrack is a great walk, we like to start from Theresa Avenue in Camps Bay, but you can also start at the parking lot at the top of Kloof Nek Rd. Newlands Forest is beautiful to walk in, and there is a lovely walk from Constantia Nek to Kirstenbosch. When walking in the mountains, it is always advisable to walk in twos, and be vigilant. Never walk on the mountain in bad weather and always carry water, a warm jacket and snacks. The weather can turn quite quickly in Cape Town.

Going up Table Mountain is a must! You can either walk up (it is a taxing walk) or take the cable car. Choose a sunny, windless day if possible.
