Just got a chance to try this place after months of buzz following their official restaurant opening. This place was AMAZING! Great seating opportunities outside, even in cold weather (they have heaters), straight-to-the-point pizza place. And best of all: only three blocks from the house. Highly recommend!

A *true* El Paso staple. El Pasoans either love Chico’s or they hate it. I personally adore it and have it almost weekly. My usual order is a grilled cheese sandwich, a single order of tacos, and fries. You have to try it at least once!

Beautiful new-ish taco establishment with both indoor and outdoor seating. Features a delicious selection of food and drinks. Can get a little busy sometimes, but always worth the wait!

One of my top 3 favorite restaurants in town, El Cometa specializes in their flautas but serve a variety of other delicious Mexican dishes. This restaurant originated in Juarez and has several locations in town. I would recommend the one on N. Mesa!

Super delicious pizza spot just a few blocks away. Really good drink selection as well. A bit of a smaller space and on the pricier side, but great for their preset menu or build-your-own pizzas. Some spots have a great view of the mountain star.

*Currently closed for repairs* My favorite burger spot in town. Definite hole-in-the-wall but so delicious. Super weird hours so recommend swinging by for lunch.

Absolutely love this place for their tacos, beans, and rice. Also for their salsa bar. Great option if you’re looking for Mexican takeout, as you can order ahead online. Highly recommend getting off to pick up your order so you can hit up the salsa bar on your way out.

My favorite Vietnamese restaurant in town! My usual order here is the yellow chicken curry with vermicelli (or rice), but you truly can’t go wrong here. Only recommend the location on Gateway! The others can be hit or miss.

Brand new, fancy restaurant and bar located just a few blocks away! Seems like a great dinner spot for extra special occasions. Reservations are hard to come by, so plan in advance if you plan to stop here!

Amazing chilaquiles!!! Not particularly close to the Airbnb, but worth the drive if you have plans to head to the far east side. It can get pretty busy, so I recommend going when you’re not in a huge hurry. Update: we’re getting one of these in the neighborhood soon! 🥳

Highly recommend this trail if you’re looking for a long running or biking trail. Recently trained for a half marathon here and never got sick of the route. The river isn’t usually flowing but there’s plenty of wildlife and scenery to keep you entertained.
