Very famous in Strasbourg for everything about cheese! You can discover hundreds of different cheese, they have discovering menu in which you can taste more then 10 different cheese of your choice. You could also go for a “raclette” or a “fondue” which are just delicious if you love cheese!

Neighborhoods

Specially during summer time, I would suggest to go to Ergersheim through the cycle path and have a break in “Le Ravito des Cyclos” along the Bruche canal (careful, they only accept cash). It’s a 15 km ride, flat, you will cross several villages, lakes and trees. If you are in for a longer ride, you can continue to Wasselonne (32 km) or even to Saverne (55 km). You can rent a Vélhop which is bikes from Strasbourg city.

One more thing, Strasbourg is worldwide know for his Christmas Market but there is also 3 others cities in the area which are gorgeous to visit for Christmas Market (or even without): Colmar (55min from Strasbourg, 72 km), Riquewihr (50min from Strasbourg, 68 km) and Kaysersberg (1h driving from Strasbourg, 78 km). The good thing is: these 3 cities are in the same area so it will be easy to go from one to the other. If you don’t have time to visit everything and have to choose between one of them, I would suggest Kaysersberg which is my favorite. You have the charm of a small typical Alsatian village, one of the beautifulest village of France by the way, with the atmosphere of a beautiful Christmas Market with good stuff to eat and drink.
