Tallahassee is famous for it’s football. If you can stay during the weekend in the fall, come watch one of college football’s dynasty teams, FSU. Osceola and Renegade open each game with a flaming spear to the middle of the field- one of college football’s best traditions.

Want to see some gators? Go rent a kayak or canoe for half a day, swim in a sink hole, and see gators swim right next to you- all in clear water. Finish up with a swim in a sinkhole that flows into the river. A great way to experience nature in North Florida. I’ve seen over 20 gators in one day.

Great place for families to go for a swim in clear spring water with a high jump platform. Take a boat tour and see lots of Florida wildlife, including gators and manatees. Many old movies were filmed here including The Creature From The Black Lagoon and Tarzan.

Take a 1.5 hour drive down to one of our favorite beaches, St George Island. Forget about the big crowds and relax at this beautiful, natural, white-sand beach for a day.

One of our favorite places to eat is located about 40 minutes north in Thomasville, Ga. Be sure to try the fish & grits. Their specialty is seafood with a southern twist. Thomasville also has a nice downtown area with cool shops open earlier in the day.

What makes this place special is they have a garden that circles the restaurant you can tour that supplies some of the food they cook. The atmosphere and vibe is one of the best in Tallahassee, and the food is pretty darn good too!
