The best surf beaches are on the southern side as well – Cave Beach, Aussie pipe (Summercloud), Five Mile and Steamers Beach. Please be aware these are not calm bay beaches, they are not patrolled and, while they are beautiful, they are very exposed and can be dangerous. If you want real surf head north to Culburra and Crookhaven heads or south to Sussex inlet, Bendalong, Manyana and Green Island.
