We go to Andreas Keller for the best Wiener schnitzel in Leavenworth. The beer, pretzel and sausages are pretty incredible too. Skip the ham hock. It looks amazing but lacks flavor.

This spot is just 2 miles from the Turkey Trot Lodge if you head east on North road. Yummy wine flights and cute picnic food options. Kids are welcome, but I’d stick with adults only.

Leavenworth is lucky to have some great Mexican food. We can’t recommend Pavz enough! It’s our first stop in town each visit. Get the pork carnitas and skip chicken options. We order a box of 20 called Taco Lovers.

This is my favorite local morning hike. With 1800 vertical feet, it’s a great workout with an amazing view. Go early at 7 am to avoid the crowds. It’s just 10 minutes from Turkey Trot Lodge

Many people come for Stevens Pass, but Mission Ridge is the lower key cousin. Less crowds and just as good vertical decline. Same distance from Turkey Trot Lodge as Stevens Pass

Sage Mountain has the best grocery store produce in town focused on in season and local produce. The store is small and caters to natural foods only. You can email them in advance with your shopping list for pick up. Skip the bananas. They are always green or bruised. Not sure why.

After Sage Mountain produce, we buy every thing else grocery wise at Dans. They have a deli in the back of the store with great breakfast burritos and daily sandwich specials. Very friend staff. One cashier even sits on our local school board.
