Loved the loud 80s music. We sat on swings round a table and watched the most interesting people come and go, like heavily tatooed bikers and the like. Don't even remember the food, must have been ok.

They have eat all you can prawn feasts, and reasonable seafood, but the beauty is in the idyllic setting. pink tinged fairytale beach with boulders and penguins dotted around, going about their business and entertaining the diners. So special.

The very best is when the sun sets and the moon is rising at the same time. Do not know how you would get this right, we came across it by accident and will stay with me forever.

This place ticks all the boxes. So so special. you can hike for hours up and up until you're at the top of table mountain, or you can wander for hours and hours around the beautiful gardens. You will come across different settings and areas, green lawns and ponds for picnicing, educational displays, restaurants, coffee shop, nursery, bookshop, gift shop there are also guided tours, and a golf cart to lift the elderly/disabled. Definitely one of my favourite places to go to restore my soul. They also have Sunday night live band concerts which are very popular, and open air movies with Galileo Theatre.

Gentle walk through the green belt between the houses of Constantia. Prolific birdlife, river and forest setting. Meet locals walking their dogs or jogging, or birdwatching groups, or scouts on a mission. So peaceful.

Extensive bird and wildlife sanctuary, including a monkey park, which is very popular. You enter a walk in enclosure and interact with the cute squirrel monkeys.

A world heritage site, Cape Point is a nature reserve in the Table Mountain National Park, at the tip of the Cape Peninsular. A great place to spend a hot day picnicking amongst the rocks on the edge, and swimming in the dam. It is part of the Silvermine Nature Reserve. There is an entrance fee so bringing a picnic and making a day of it is the thing to do. A scenic walkway takes you around the edge of the whole dam.

Its only about 30 mins, and the view from the top is so rewarding for so little effort. You look out at False Bay over Fishoek and Muizenberg to the left and towards Simonstown to the right. you feel on top of the world!
Most ecologically diverse area for birding and flowers. And the West Coast is just a beautiful natural wild place where I love to be.

The most scenic and dramatic drive in the world, linking Hout Bay and Noordhoek, hugging the cliffs and dropping off on the side down to the Atlantic sea, cutting through the mountain in a half tunnel at places, it is truly majestic and cannot be missed.

A must see. Architect, Thomas Heatherwick, created an art gallery by carving out a space from 56 enormous grain silos at the V&A Waterfront. The building alone is quite magnificent.
