There are many local public beaches located near our airbnb. 2 min walk from the front door is the beautiful beaches of lake Huron. There is a trail that stretches the whole length of the beach. Most areas of this beach are dog friendly. Down lakeshore rd. approximately a 6 minute drive is Mike Weir park. Within this park there is a large public beach, children's play equipment and an ice cream truck! There is currently no signs posted for no dogs. Another notable public beach is Canatara park and beach, located in sarnia. It is sarnia's most beautiful park and public beach.

Howard Watson trail stretches from Brights Grove to Sarnia!!! you can access this trail at the lights on Waterworks rd and Lakeshore Rd. Perfect for walking or biking. Wawanosh Wetlands, located on the outside of brights grove. It is a large very beautiful trail and park. Highland Glen Conservation Area is a beautiful experience. It has trails, a very large beach and large sitting and eating area. It is approx. 20 mins from cottage. Other trails: Blackwell trails, perch creek, centennial Park and many more!!

Located 5 min walk from Airbnb!!!! Absolutely beautiful park with tennis courts, basketball nets, play equipment, workout equipment and a fry truck!! Sometimes there is even live music!!! Every Wednesday night during the summer months, there is an outdoor market with music, beer, veggies and more available!

There are two local dog parks. Blackwell dog park (1468 Blackwell rd) and Germain dog park (900 Germain st). New to the area! Confederation Kennels has a hidden gem of a resort built just for your dogs pleasure. 30ft x 50ft pool and splash pad for your dogs enjoyment! You must call ahead and book your time.
