Clothing for all occasions
It gets warm during the day and cool at night so be sure to pack clothing for both temps. Fans are available for keeping the cottage cool, the attic fan is especially useful. Bring wet shoes for playing in the river, it makes stepping on mossy rocks so much easier.

White Pine Trail
There is an access point off 23 Mile Rd, very near Paris Park.
If you ride south toward Big Rapids, you can find a very scenic path along the Muskegon river.
If you ride north, the trail will take you to Reed City with local shops and restaurants, and very pretty Rambadt Park.

We are building a supply of DVDs to enjoy. There is a CD player on the book shelves.

Kayak Transport
See the guide book for kayak rentals with transportation, or if you want to use the kayaks in the shed, you will need to transport them to Blodgett Landing in Hersey to enjoy a long float back to the cottage.
The river is shallow and safe but if you have concerns, please bring a life vest. There is a child's life vest provided in the shed.

Phone/Ipod with headphone jack & downloaded music
We just installed a vintage stereo next to the kitchen to enjoy music. If you download music on your phone in advance, it will play better than trying to use a satellite connection.
Simply connect with bluetooth, switch on the volume on/off knob on the stereo, and play.
