Good foothills entrance 1 mile from The Cottage. It's less busy than the foothills by Camel's Back and Harrisson Hollow. You can hike, run, or bike in this area and get some nice views of Boise!

One of our favorite (and most popular) parks in Boise. It's a 10-minute bike ride from the Cottage, has playgrounds and lots of foothill hiking and biking access.

Camel's Back Park

This is a really fun park with tons to do. There is a big swimmable pond, surfing in the Boise River, restaurants off the Greenbelt and much more.
It's a longer walk, quick bike ride, or short drive from The Cottage. The Pond is big enough for paddle boarding, which you can rent from Idaho River Sports right in the parking lot of the park.

Boise Whitewater Park
3400 W Pleasanton AveThis is a really fun park with tons to do. There is a big swimmable pond, surfing in the Boise River, restaurants off the Greenbelt and much more.
It's a longer walk, quick bike ride, or short drive from The Cottage. The Pond is big enough for paddle boarding, which you can rent from Idaho River Sports right in the parking lot of the park.
