If you’re here looking for great wines and great times—the kind you want to share with friends and family—grab a glass. That’s why we’re here, too. Since 1852, six generations of Hazlitt’s have farmed the land, so our roots are deep. But it’s more than land. It’s a lifestyle. Relaxed, friendly, and unpretentious. A lifestyle we hope you share along with our wines. Stop in and see us on the postcard-perfect east side of Seneca Lake.

Bagley’s is known for it’s laid back attitude and unpretentious approach to wine. As one of the oldest wineries along Seneca lake we are very proud of our unique history. We opened our doors in 1980 and have been growing, producing and selling wine from our 40 acre farm in Hector. Our founder Dave Bagley was passionate about Finger Lakes wine and loved sharing his wines with many visitors over the years. Sadly, Dave passed away in 2008, but his legacy lives on as his daughter Brittany has followed in his footsteps. Today Bagley’s is female owned, and operated with a small family-like crew that works very hard to produce delicious wines to share with their customers. And you never know when a good time is going to break out!

Glenora Wine Cellars is a beautiful winery resort located on Seneca Lake in New York’s Finger Lakes Wine Country. Since we opened our doors in 1977 as the first winery on Seneca Lake, we have been producing award-winning Finger Lakes wines and offering year round hospitality. With daily wine tastings and cellar tours, you not only can taste our high quality wines, but go behind-the-scenes and see where it’s made. This is the only winery I have listed on the west side of the lake.

Hiking the Gorge in Watkins Glen is a must! Be sure to have your sneakers on! You may want to park at the upper entrance as it's around 800 steps, you can pay for a shuttle back to your car. Plan on spending 2 hours. As with anything in Watkins, it's best to start early on busy weekends.

The 16,212 acre Finger Lakes National Forest is located between Seneca and Cayuga Lakes in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State. This National Forest has over 30 miles of interconnecting trails that traverse gorges, ravines, pastures and woodlands. It is a hidden, somewhat unknown gem located here in Central New York. While hiking through pastures you may see cows grazing at times as the National Forest rents out the pastures to local farms. Be sure to close the gates behind you!" As an avid outdoorsman, I was always blessed with having the National Forest in my back yard. It's a must see, even driving the seasonal roads. No worries... You can obtain a detailed map from the Hector Ranger Station at 5218 NY-414, Hector, NY 14841

Nestled in the hills above Seneca Lake and located a stone's throw from the gorge in Watkins Glen State Park the Seneca Lodge has been a landmark for vacationers, sportsmen and racing enthusiasts for more than 50 years. It has also one of the best Prime Rib entree's you'll ever have. The bar is totally unique and a must see.

This is a great local Italian family restaurant. There is the entrance from the front for dining, or in the back for pick up orders. They also have delivery after 4:30 pm. It can be a little hectic getting to on busy tourist days, I normally get delivery in the evening.

Boating

Seneca Lake is an exceptional spot for sailing and other recreational boating. Marinas in Waterloo and just south of Geneva offer boat rentals, campgrounds and marine supplies. The big double-decker cruise boats that depart from Watkins Glen are popular with visitors. You're sure to spot these ships if you're on the lake for the day. The Seneca Lake State Park in Geneva features public boat launches and a marina, as well as a picnic area and a swimming beach. The Municipal Campgrounds and Marina in Montour Falls is a great spot off the lake with campgrounds, public boat launches and plenty of boat slips. Boaters can access the lake through the Old Barge Canal.
