The cave gardens are located in CBD of Mt Gambier so is nice and close. Nice to have a walk around and see this beautiful place. If here on a rainy day head down to caves to see the waterfall and are close to cafes/pubs/shopping.

Take a short drive to the blue lake. You can enjoy a 45min walk around the lake with beautiful views and stop off at the numerous lookouts. Or Park and go to lookouts.

Once you have been to the Blue Lake head down to the valley lakes. There are a few roads to explore, a wildlife park, there is bbqs around the valley lake area to enjoy a meal. and a very popular playground

Definitely RECCOMMEND to visit here. This is the best place to get all the information on this region and to see the lady nelson boat and about the volcanos.

Head down to Port MacDonnell which is about 20min drive from Mt Gambier and enjoy the beautiful scenery and local beaches. They have two playgrounds and a few lookouts to stop along the way on the coast

Robe is beautiful seaside town about 1hr and 45min from Mt Gambier. For a lovely day drive you could call into the Tantanoola Caves for a tour which is just before the town of Millicent. In Millicent visit the Millicent Gallery, Millicent National Trust Museum, Millicent Information Centre, and They have a lovely playground for kids, and have a lovely swimming lake for everyone which is open in the summer. Continue on towards Southend/Beachport and see they beautiful coastal scenery. Stop of at Beachport for a walk out on the jetty and let the kids play on the new playground then enjoy a lovely meal from the local stores/pub. Continue onto Robe but a must stop is the Woakwine cutting which is located halfway to Robe. Once in robe enjoy the beautiful seaside town scenery/marina, shopping and local cafes/resturants.
