A fabulous walk but do make sure you are properly equipped and check the weather beforehand. Parking is park and ride (approx £10) and the car park can fill up very quickly so worth setting off early. It's about 45 minutes to the car park but the most beautiful drive. Allow at least 3 hours to get to the top of the mountain.

Right on your doorstep - the walk around the Alwen is lovely. Allow 3 hours and I would walk it anti clockwise (I know the signs send you clockwise, but I think it is prettier anti clockwise!). You can have your dogs off the lead, and it is stick and flick policy so no need for bags. Enjoy it!
