Gravity Park is a small amusement park that offers go carts, miniature golf, reverse bungee (opposite of bungee jumping--they call it the rocket), a 60 foot Ferris Wheel and a climbing wall. We like to go to Gravity Park before dinner at Louie's Backyard to watch the sunset and fireworks over the bay in the summer.

Bobz World (30 min from South Padre) and Julia’s restaurant is 3 minutes from there. The outdoors is an eclectic mix of sculptures and statues--giant dinosaurs, sharks, fish, etc., GREAT for pictures! Indoors is a huge souvenir shop, black-light mini-golf, kids bowling, arcade, laser tag. *** There was a disastrous freeze in February 2021 that affected the landscaping and pumps on some of the outdoor features and because of the pandemic the family run business is slowly repairing.

Sunday Market held every week from 11:00-1:00 right outside main office of The Shores. Fun little market with produce and locally made goods. There are usually some yummy treats like roasted corn on the cob or baked goods! It’s really small so don’t plan to spend more than 40 minutes there.

Great locally run restaurant with sea food and good variety on the menu. Weekday specials are always good! I’ve been going to this restaurant since I was a little girl!

Extremely close to our condo (about 2 min drive) and consistently great, fresh,seafood. It’s super casual inside so no need to change out of your flip flops😂.

Go EARLY! This place is extremely popular but if you go at off times the wait isn’t so bad. Great coffee, enormous Mexican breakfast tacos with authentic flour tortilla, my favorite are the blueberry lemon pancakes!

100 Swordfish StGo EARLY! This place is extremely popular but if you go at off times the wait isn’t so bad. Great coffee, enormous Mexican breakfast tacos with authentic flour tortilla, my favorite are the blueberry lemon pancakes!

This is THE BEST spot to see the fireworks in the summer! They have a small sea food buffet on fireworks nights. Get there early to get a good seat on the patio and see the sunset over the bay. We usually go around 7:00 pm and fireworks start a little after 9:00pm. It becomes more of a party spot later in the night.

Fun party spot at night. It’s far away from our condo though so you’ll have to drive and park. Traffic can get bad in the summer on nights of the fireworks display so pack your patience.

It’s far away from our condo though so you’ll have to drive and park. Traffic can get bad in the summer on nights of the fireworks display so pack your patience.
