Shipwreck! Unique place! Amazing view! Take the "Potamitis Brothers - Boat Trips to Blue Cakes & Shipreck" in order to get quicker to the Shipwreck and the Blue Caves. It is just 2 min drive down from Infinity View Villa. Make sure to take your hat, water and snacks with you, cause the boat leaves you there for 1 hour. There’s a boat roughly every 15 minutes or so. It is a lot cheaper than other operators and the boats are glass-bottomed so you can see what’s going on underneath too!

Zakynthos Marathonisi islet: The islet of Marathonisi is placed across the beach of Keri, in Laganas bay. It is not a single island but also includes two more small islets called Pontikonisia. Its perimeter is just about a mile and can be reached by boat from Keri beach and Laganas bay. There are boats that have frequent itineraries to the islet. Otherwise, you can hire a caique or take part in organized daily tours. Marathonisi is not inhabited and keeps its characteristic pine, olive and green oak forests in excellent conditions. It has thick vegetation everywhere and two main beaches with different features. One of them has white sand, while the other has pebbles. The sandy beach is where the sea turtle goes to lay its eggs and that is why Marathonisi is included as part of Zakynthos Marine Park. There are also two interesting sea caves, where you can swim to go or use a boat. These caves are ideal for those who like snorkeling. The islet of Marathonisi is totally unspoiled. Therefore, it is advisable to take enough supplies with you.

When in Zakynthos ...

When you visit Zakynthos town, you should definitely go up to Bochali, where you can have a panoramic view of Zakynthos, there you can visit the Venetian Castle and finally take a rest and enjoy your iced-coffee, or Nescafe ice-cream and surely don’t miss to try the local dessert called, “frygania”. After, take a walk to the historical landmark of Stranis Hill, a very tranquil place where the national anthem was written by Dionysios Solomos. Try a horse carriage ride up to Bochali and Stranis hill, that you will pick it up from Solomo’s square. Ask for the prices first!

When in Zakynthos....

When in town, visit St Dennis Church (Agios Dionysios Church), then try the local goodies, in the order that are shown below, named: Fytoura (pan-fried semolina cake), Pasteli (sesame seeds, almonds and honey), Mantolato (nougat made of almonds, little sugar and a lot of honey) and Mantoles (Mantoles are actually almonds with caramelized sugar). Also try the local currants and the local cheese “graviera” and “ladotyri”.
