Centrally located in easy walking distance from everything , Lions and Tigers is located within an historical house stable. The food is Indian fusion, the wine is amazing. They have a great selection of Tap beers. Service is great and the place is great for Lunch and Dinner.
Has recently changed its name to MOTHER. However it is all vegetarian and vegan whole food based meals and not what it may appear at all. The meals are amazingly tasty, filling and reasonably priced at $21 - $28 for a main course!! The vibe is industrial and very typical Freo cool and casual. Great flavor combinations and imaginative plant based whole foods. Popular with our guests!

Holy Smokes is a classic little small bar and restaurant! Serving up american style ribs and larger style meat pieces if you are hankering. Great selection of tap beers, international spirits and a wholesome cocktail list. The fact that it is hidden away off the main street by no means detracts from its appeal. Holy Smokes has a vibe of its own and manages quite well off the busy streetscape. The dirty fries are exactly what they sound like, are delicious and highly recommended :)

Jungle Bird
Located down in the West End, Jungle Bird is a Caribbean Rum bar where you can get a coffee by day and Rum cocktails by evening. Amazing Caribbean styled menu with great sized meals for $10. Yep! 10 bucks! One of my recent guests said "Best mojito I have ever had!!"

Clancy's has been part of Freo longer than most of us can remember so its really worth a visit. For lunch, an early afternoon drink or catch dinner and a bit of live music, Clancy's is worth a visit.

Iconic Australian and International Micro brewery. Even if you don't drink beer, this place must be seen to be believed! Once a shed built for Americas Cup Yachts, then a crocodile farm!! Now it is a crazy industrial brewery where the beer is poured into your glass from an enormous vat, surrounded by all the boats in the fishing boat harbour and the salt air! It is a must visit place if you are in Fremantle!!

Now it is a crazy industrial brewery where the beer is poured into your glass from an enormous vat, surrounded by all the boats in the fishing boat harbour and the salt air! It is a must visit place if you are in Fremantle!!

The Rottnest Ferry terminal is a casual 10 min walk from the apartment. (Cross the railway line just to the south of the train station) . Popular with my guests , most people that stay here get a day trip to Rotto in! Why not? Its almost too convenient! And even if you are not getting on a ferry, this area is also just a great unique spot where you can sit on a century old wharf, dangle your feet over the edge and gaze across the harbour, and see a fully operational commercial port. This is Freo!

UNFORGETTABLE FREO SECRET SUN-DOWNER. Are you in? This is a favorite activity of ours that is something we love so much we want to quietly share it with you. Shhh! To the south side of bathers bay there is a stone sea wall... head for there, the footpath goes all the way around. Bring yourself a few quiet brews or a bottle of bubbles just prior to sunset. Climb over the rock wall and find yourself a comfortable warm rock, out of the breeze and within reach of the ocean. Listen to the waves crash, watch the ships come and go, take in the vista and enjoy the colours of the world from here! At 5.30pm, the freight train comes rolling through the west end as it has done for ever!
