Just ten minutes down the road from us and so much fun to look out of the top of the train and feel like you might fall out of your seat! There's a great ice cream shop across the street too! And at the top, point park has some great picnic spots.

It sounds cheesy, but it's actually a really fun ride down the river. My kids loved it when they played music from the horn. They'll give your kids a tour of the captain's area too, if you ask. There's also a great family-friendly lounge area/bar for snacks, taking a rest, and playing some games.

This is a public pool, but the splash pad/water park here is actually pretty fun for kiddos. We usually visit the zoo in the morning, and by the time we're ready to cool off, this place is right next door!

A fun place to hang out and walk around. They always seem to have different vendors around, a few good restaurants and bars and it's pretty neat to see the historic trains too. In the winter, they have ice skating and it's the best place in town to see Santa!

This is such a great walking, biking, fishing, playing, local spot that runs for over ten miles along the river.

These historic train rides are SO cool! They played a big part in the Civil War, and you'll learn a lot on these trips while you delight the kids. They have so many special trains as well, for Valentine's, Christmas, etc so you can delight your honey as well.

4119 Cromwell RdThese historic train rides are SO cool! They played a big part in the Civil War, and you'll learn a lot on these trips while you delight the kids. They have so many special trains as well, for Valentine's, Christmas, etc so you can delight your honey as well.
This place is amazing. I love the penguins, jellyfish, tiny tiny seahorses and the butterfly observatory. It really rivals some of the best aquariums, like Atlanta's.

My kids can spend all day in this place. They have a lot of really fun, interactive exhibits and it's one of the best children's museums I've been to. And I've been to more than I've cared to go to. The deli is ok, but you can also bring your own lunch.

This is a favorite hiking spot right in Chattanooga, on Lookout Mountain. There are a LOT of good hiking and biking trails in the area, and I'm happy to tell you more. We have the best guide book there is.

This is my happy place. Beautiful grounds, wildflower fields, canoeing, hiking, awesome tree house, historic cabins, and a larger than expected array of rescued animals, including the rare and endangered local red wolf. The educational talks are super engaging and in all our years of homeschooling, I'm sure my kids have remembered more from those talks than from any lesson I've ventured to do.

They have some pretty decent shows that come to this historic theatre! We see the best performance of the Nutcracker here every year by the Chattanooga Ballet.

Chattanooga is a really laid-back city and has a lot that makes it great for families and outdoor enthusiasts. We love it here!
