Probably our favorite beach. Go during low tide to see beautiful tidepools full of brightly colored starfish and sea creatures. Also check out the "Tree of Life" while there, a stunning tree root cave (near the Kalaloch campground).

The furthest northwest tip of the contiguous United State, Cape Flattery provides a dramatic backdrop to a surprisingly accessible hike. It's managed by the Makah Tribe, who provide permits for parking here at Washburn's General Store, The Makah Museum, and many other locations in Neah Bay. As you drive through on the way to the trailhead, be sure to purchase yours -- they're good for the year, and you can also use it for Shi Shi Beach (which is another beautiful hike and beach).

5.3 mile out and back trail located on Lake Crescent that is best used from April until October. The trail is rated as "difficult" and is not child friendly. Once you reach the top, you can grab magnificent pictures of the views of the mountains, Canada, and Lake Crescent. Keep going to the ropes (past maintained trail sign) and it becomes more technical; however, the views are incredible. There is an optional side-trip to the popular Marymere Falls if you wish to extend your trip (Marymere falls is child friendly). 1 hour drive.
