Great burgers, better beer. If you have time, sit down and have a meal here. It's casual. The service is wonderful, and the bites are satisfying. They have a great menu for kids, and a wide selection of burgers and sandwiches for not kids. There are lots of fun beers to try. You might wind up buying a few to take home!

City folk will appreciate this place. I know because I'm one of them. Go here for a cup of balanced and aromatic coffee. If you're a coffee aficionado, buy a bag of beans (~$18) to use with the Chemex back at the house.

Much larger than Serene Lake, and a must visit. There are many public docks/piers along the south shore. Pick an empty dock, park along the road, lay out a blanket, and enjoy the sunset with a beverage.
Better yet, if you're feeling active, go for a run around the lake. It's roughly 8-miles.

Much larger than Serene Lake, and a must visit. There are many public docks/piers along the south shore. Pick an empty dock, park along the road, lay out a blanket, and enjoy the sunset with a beverage.
Better yet, if you're feeling active, go for a run around the lake. It's roughly 8-miles.
Excellent for summer activities, and wonderful for winter sights. Take a walk around the lake. Please be mindful of the homeowners and restricted parking. Many of the properties back on to the lake itself, and the land may be private property.

Our personal favorite ski resort. ~30 minutes away from where we are located. Lots of excellent runs for all levels, but advanced skiers will really enjoy this place. Be sure to get there early to snag a good parking spot! Reconsider going if there's a big snow storm - CalTrans may close the I-80 highway if it's too icy.
